James W. Cummins, JR ODDr. Cummins graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1976. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association for forty years. He is licensed in the treatment of medical eye conditions and has been chosen to participate in numerous clinical studies. His extensive experience in refractive surgery includes consultation, pre-surgical analysis, surgical referrals, and post-operative care. Dr. Cummins provides the most up-to-date and reliable treatment plans and is easily accessible to all of his patients. |
Maggie, Office ManagerMaggie's first priority is patient care. The well-being of our professional staff and our affiliates is also very important to her. Maggie is nearing 19 years of service with Rancho San Diego Vision Care with extensive knowledge and experience patient in insurance billing,and the overall duties and functions of the staff and office. Although you may not see her during your visit to our office, she is always available if a patient or team-member needs her assistance. |
Judy, OpticianJudy has advanced experience in assisting the doctor. She came to us with extensive experience in ophthalmology. Since joining us over six years ago, she has gained thorough knowledge helping patients with frame selections & dispensing, contact lens services, and in-depth understanding of insurance coverage & benefits. Judy is truly dedicated to our patients and loyal to her coworkers. |
Cindy, Optical TechnicianCindy maintains our patient database & insurance & benefits information. She has recently completed the Optician program at Penn Foster Career School. She truly enjoys working personally with our patients and will enthusiastically assist our optician and doctor. Cindy has been with us for three years. Cindy is always in pursuit to find new ways to improve our services to our patients. |
Dorey, Front Office CoordinatorDorey is a graduate from United Education Institute with a Medical Assistant Certificate. Her warmth yet professionalism will make you feel welcome the moment you arrive or call on our services as she assists you with scheduling an appointment or obtaining your insurance eligibility. Dorey celebrated her second anniversary with us last August. We cannot imagine a time without her! |
Craig, Optician-Lab TechnicianCraig is our "one-man show" in our private 0ptical Laboratory. He provides our patient with the most up-to-date lens material and complete knowledge of lens design. Although Craig is "behind the scene" he is always happy to help us out if we are short-handed. He is a true team-player. Also, he dedicates time to have our staff in the lab giving us invaluable training. One of the advantages of having our own lab is that Craig can often cut lenses in a one-day turn around time. Craig operates some of the most sophisticated equipment and uses lens material of the highest quality. Craig is very proud of his 25 years with Dr. Cummins. We are, too!!! |
